Just for the year

Ever turn around and a whole year has passed?

Happens all the time on my blogs!  I have started so many blogs, moved to different blogs, and lost the password to more blogs.  Most people are great at moving from point A to point B, but I feel like I have to skip B (or get lost) and hit most of the other letters before coming back and landing on point B!

SO a goal I have this year so to be consistent.  In fact Consistency is one of my focus words-but I will get to that later.

Every journal/diary I have ever started starts the same way.


Hello,
My name is Amy.  My parents are Doran and Joye.  I have 2 brothers, and 1 sister.  I really hope to write in this journal every day.

and then it skips about a year.


So while the above is still true, I feel the need to add some important facts.

I am married to Superman (he keeps telling me this, and I am slowly believing him).  We have 4 kids, Squirt, Firecracker, Little Man, and Monster.

I have been married 15 years and we live in small town USA in my husbands 'family house' that has been in the family for over 115 years.

and I really do hope to write on this blog (almost) every day this year.

A happy day now June 15th

We have always thought of June 15th as a hard day in our family and now it is a day for celebration!

My brother Jon and his wife Jane welcome their little boy Caleb into this world on June 15th this year.

I feel it is a gift to have a happy memory for this day and that Heavenly Father telling us it is ok to celebrate even through the hard times.
